Anyone who is interested in the sport of Fly-Fishing should take the time to learn a little about the history and tradition of the sport. The annual Sportsman’s expo in San Mateo, or any of the ISE shows, is a great place to do just that.  Lots of interesting and important figures from all aspects of this sport congregate every year to share stories, techniques and check out the latest gear from the top manufacturers.  This year, Burl Productions caught up with Lefty Kreh, Brian O’Keefe and Andy Burk for a little lesson in Fly-Fishing History.  Lefty is undeniably the most notable figure in Fly Fishing history.  Lefty has been more places, written more articles, been featured in more videos, done more casting demonstrations and inspired more people than just about any other single Fly Fisherman on this planet.  His contributions to this sport and this industry are unparalleled.  Another regular on the show circuit is Brian O’Keefe. Brian is definitely the “been there, done that” fisherman.  He has traveled to and fished more places on this planet than most people even knew existed.  Brian’s photos have touched or inspired almost every person who has ever picked up a fly-fishing magazine.  His great photos and jovial personality make his slide shows a favorite attraction.  Watch SOULFISH and learn how he got his start in this sport.  Andy Burk is a walking encyclopedia of fishing knowledge.  He probably knows more about the history of fly-fishing than just about anyone.  Andy has been obsessed with and studying the art of fly angling sense he was a little boy.  Andy is a regular on the show circuit and can often be seen doing tying demonstrations of one of his many original fly patterns.
